One World One Heart Welcome One World One Heart Participants and Followers! I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit.
My name is Amy Weaver and I'm a mom, grandma and aspiring, wannabe artist. I started this blog as a way to share my artistic journey with friends and family and to keep myself working and accountable as I try to make art a part of my daily life and embrace whatever direction God has for me.
I am a part of an amazing online art community for trading all types of art but particularly ATCs or Artist Trading Cards called ATCsforall.com . A lot of the work I do and post here is for trading with other artists in the community but I do try to do some other projects that will help me to grow in this journey and allow me to try other types of art. I am always learning...always growing and as long as I can say that, I am happy to continue along this wonderful journey and hope that others will take the time to stop by and share it with me.
To thank you for visiting and participating in One World One Heart Event . I will be giving away this Hand Drawn/Hand Painted piece titled "Joy". It measures 8in x 8in and was created using a number of mediums including acrylics, watercolors and various collage elements on a piece of matboard. ReplyDeleteas for the bartering "thing", i have not updated that page in AGES but should do so soon (thank you for the motivation!). several artist friends and i were trying to buy less last year, and trade more. that's why i started that little page. we did so great! a fiend of mine needed a certain glue, i needed some thread and we swapped. it's as simple as that. :) i'll update my list soon, but in the meantime please let me know if there is anything on your arty wishlist and if i have it/them, i will for sure let you know!

~Hi Amy~this is Amy, from The Heart of a Seed~you asked about the little preemie sweater I knitted for my sister.~I just made it up as I went along~I looked at other baby sweaters & eye-balled how big it should be for such a tiny baby.~I just used the knit stitch to keep it simple~I worked from the back to the front~decreasing my stiches around the arms.~then I held one side of the front on my needles as I knitted on the other side of the front~casted off on the bottom~then knitted the other side of the front~(hope this makes a little sense)casted off~so, the body of the sweater was one piece~then I knitted the sleeves & sewed them on.~crocheted around the front & neck to finish~& added a button.~ wish I had written it down~hope this helps~but, pretty much I just studied other baby sweaters & made it up.~SO NICE meeting you !~ love your artwork~Amy~
